Omotesando Advanced Medical Clinic: Specialized in Outpatient Spine Surgery and Regenerative Medicine
No hospitalization required
Our procedures are performed under local anesthesia, reducing the physical burden on the patient. Even if multiple spinal segments are affected, treatment is usually completed in a single session with no need for repeated hospital visits.
Minimally invasive procedures
By minimizing incisions to the skin and surrounding muscles, tendons, and ligaments, our approach promotes faster recovery and a quicker return to daily activities.
Faster healing through regenerative medicine
Combining regenerative therapy with surgery can lead to better recovery outcomes compared to standard procedures. These treatments also support nerve regeneration, which may improve symptoms like paralysis or numbness.

Outpatient Surgery for Lower Back Pain
PLDD (Percutaneous Laser Disc Decompression)
PLDD is a minimally invasive procedure that reduces pressure on spinal nerves by applying laser energy to shrink the intervertebral disc. A needle of only about 1 mm is used, making it even less invasive than endoscopic surgery. This treatment is mainly suitable for mild to moderate disc herniation. It may not be appropriate for severe cases and may take time before results become noticeable.
PDR (Percutaneous Disc Regeneration Therapy)
After drawing the patient’s own blood, we extract concentrated platelet-derived growth factors (PRP) and combine them with stem cell-derived culture supernatant. These substances are injected directly into the damaged disc under fluoroscopic guidance to promote regeneration.
PED (Percutaneous Endoscopic Discectomy)
PED is a surgical procedure in which a small herniated disc fragment is removed using forceps inserted through an incision about 6 mm in size. It can be performed under local anesthesia with a short operation time, typically as a same-day procedure or with a brief hospital stay. The incision is small enough to be covered with a bandage, and no sutures are required.
PEL (Percutaneous Endoscopic Lumbar Decompression)
PEL is an endoscopic decompression procedure used to treat spinal stenosis. With a small incision of 7–8 mm, it can be performed as a same-day surgery under local anesthesia. A tiny endoscope is inserted into the spinal canal, and the surgery is guided via a monitor.
SAST (Spinal Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation)
SAST is a regenerative treatment that uses autologous (patient’s own) adipose-derived stem cells to repair and regenerate tissues in the intervertebral discs, cervical spine, or lumbar spine. These stem cells are cultured from the patient’s fat tissue, minimizing the risk of adverse reactions upon re-injection.
Discflow (Autologous Fibrin Disc Repair Therapy)
This therapy uses fibrin derived from the patient’s own blood to seal and reinforce cracks in the intervertebral discs. It is a minimally invasive, outpatient procedure, particularly effective for chronic discogenic lower back pain or pain caused by disc fissures.
Regenerative Medicine
PFC-FD Therapy
This therapy extracts growth factors from the patient’s own platelets to enhance the body’s natural anti-inflammatory and self-healing abilities. It helps promote the repair of damaged joints, muscles, and tendons.
PRP Therapy (Platelet-Rich Plasma)
In this treatment, platelet-rich plasma is extracted and concentrated from the patient’s blood and injected into the affected area. The platelets contain various growth factors that help stimulate tissue repair.
Stem Cell Therapy
Stem cells play a key role in the body’s repair process by dividing and transforming into necessary cell types. Because of their regenerative capabilities, stem cell therapy may offer improvement for conditions that were previously considered difficult to treat.
Cancer Treatment
Gene Therapy for Cancer
This therapy delivers tumor-suppressing genes via intravenous infusion to inhibit cancer cell growth and support the restoration of normal cell function.
Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy
Instead of systemic administration, this treatment delivers anti-cancer drugs directly into the peritoneal cavity. It may be particularly effective in cases where cancer has spread to the peritoneum.
Six-Type Combination Immunotherapy
This treatment extracts immune cells from the patient’s blood, cultivates them to enhance their ability to attack cancer cells, and reintroduces them into the body via IV infusion. Each session typically takes 20–30 minutes.
